At Foresters Financial, our purpose is to enrich the lives of our members, their families, and their communities. That’s why each year we award students for their hard work by providing them with the opportunity to receive a Foresters Competitive Scholarship award.
What’s new in 2022/2023?
For the 2022/23 school year, we will be offering 75 tuition scholarships of up to £1,000 for up to four years for eligible students.
We’re aware that COVID-19 has made school extra challenging for most students, so we’re also temporarily adjusting the requirements for community service hours for the coming academic year. New Applicants will only need 50 hours over 24 months, and Returning Candidates will need just 12 hours over 12 months.
Who is eligible for a Foresters Competitive Scholarship?
Foresters members, the spouse of an eligible Foresters member, and dependent children or grandchildren of an eligible member are all able to apply for a scholarship.
New Applicants must also meet all of the following criteria:
- 24 years of age or younger at the time of application through to the time payment is issued
- Have completed the minimum hours of community service
- Have a minimum GPA of UK: B (A-levels/AS-levels), 6/B (GCSE) or equivalent
- Enrolling in a minimum 2-year, full time undergraduate programme of study at a recognised institution in the autumn of 2022
How do I apply?
Simply visit Foresters.com or MyForesters.com and create an online account using the Apply Now buttons.
Once you’ve created an online account, you can submit your application and all your supporting information (a letter of recommendation from someone who can vouch for your community service efforts, a personal essay about your experience with a volunteer project, and your school transcripts).
You’re responsible for making sure you’ve successfully submitted all the required components on time, but you’ll get email reminders and notifications to help you along the way.
I’m ready! When can I submit my application?
Eligible students can apply between 1 December 2021 and 25 February 2022. Winners will be notified by 6 June 2022, and funds will be issued by 22 August 2022.
