It is our job as global citizens to care for one another, and volunteer work within your community is one of the greatest ways to get out there and leave a lasting impact that you can see. I am beyond thankful for the amazing support team that allowed me to be the best I can be and realise my full potential.\u201d<\/em><br \/>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 &#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Roxanna Ferdowsi, Coquitlam, B.C., 2021 Foresters Competitive Scholarship winner<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>At Foresters Financial, our purpose is to enrich the lives of our members, their families, and their communities. That\u2019s why each year we award students for their hard work by providing them with the opportunity to receive a Foresters Competitive Scholarship award.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>What\u2019s new in 2022\/2023?<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>For the 2022\/23 school year, we will be offering 75 tuition scholarships of up to \u00a31,000 for up to four years for eligible students.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>We\u2019re aware that COVID-19 has made school extra challenging for most students, so we\u2019re also temporarily adjusting the requirements for community service hours for the coming academic year. New Applicants will only need 50 hours over 24 months, and Returning Candidates will need just 12 hours over 12 months.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Who is eligible for a Foresters Competitive Scholarship?<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Foresters members, the spouse of an eligible Foresters member, and dependent children or grandchildren of an eligible member are all able to apply for a scholarship.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>New Applicants must also meet all of the following criteria:<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li>24 years of age or younger at the time of application through to the time payment is issued<\/li>\r\n<li>Have completed the minimum hours of community service<\/li>\r\n<li>Have a minimum GPA of UK: B (A-levels\/AS-levels), 6\/B (GCSE) or equivalent<\/li>\r\n<li>Enrolling in a minimum 2-year, full time undergraduate programme of study at a recognised institution in the autumn of 2022<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>How do I apply?<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Simply visit <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foresters.com\/en-gb\/foresters-difference\/scholarships\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Foresters.com<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/my.foresters.com\/en-gb\/login\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">MyForesters.com<\/a> and create an online account using the <em>Apply Now <\/em>buttons.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Once you\u2019ve created an online account, you can submit your application and all your supporting information (a letter of recommendation from someone who can vouch for your community service efforts, a personal essay about your experience with a volunteer project, and your school transcripts).<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>You\u2019re responsible for making sure you\u2019ve successfully submitted all the required components on time, but you\u2019ll get email reminders and notifications to help you along the way.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>I\u2019m ready! When can I submit my application?<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Eligible students can apply between 1 December 2021 and 25 February 2022.
